See the drones broadcasting overhead.
WARDEN is a passive Remote ID receiver built in Southwest Florida. Today it powers our event airspace awareness service: it shows drones that broadcast Remote ID and where their operators are.
Event Airspace Awareness
Concerts, festivals, games, races, and private events. We set up a WARDEN node on site, and your security lead gets a live view of nearby drones that broadcast Remote ID, with each operator's position.
We set up on site
A compact receive-only node placed for coverage of your venue.
Your team watches live
Drone and operator positions on a screen your security lead can see, so they can find the operator and hand off to venue security or local law enforcement.
You get the report
A post-event drone activity report: what was seen, when, and where.
What WARDEN does and doesn't do.
- Detection onlyPassive and receive-only: no jamming, no interference, no takedown. Under federal law (18 U.S.C. §32), disabling or interfering with a drone is reserved for a few federal agencies, so a private service can only detect and report.
- Remote ID drones onlyWARDEN shows drones that broadcast FAA Remote ID. A drone that doesn't broadcast, such as an older, homemade, or modified aircraft, won't appear. Detecting those drones is not part of the service today.
- No overstated specsWe publish ranges and performance figures only after they're tested in the field.
What's next for WARDEN
We're working toward a vehicle-mounted version for law enforcement and tactical teams. The long-term goal is to add sensors that can find drones that don't broadcast Remote ID.
That capability is still being designed and tested. It isn't available today, and we'll describe what it can do only after it's proven in the field.
